Real-Time, Event-Driven Applications on the Edge
K-09
Blaine Mathieu Chief Product Officer VANTIQ
Legacy development approaches and tools simply aren’t architected to handle the enormous flow of real-time, event-driven data streams generated at the edge by IoT devices, existing systems, and people. Applications of the future must be able to sense, analyze, and act on the edge. In this session, learn how the revolution in event-driven application platforms enable enterprises to develop, deploy and run real-time operations that integrate the edge and cloud with dramatically reduced time-to-market, significantly lowered development and maintenance costs, and maximum agility in the face of requirements for continuous innovation and digital transformation.

Accelerating Autonomy with Fog Computing
IN-01
Stan Schneider CEO Real-Time Innovations (RTI)
In the last century, transportation, medical, power and industrial systems were built from individual devices, some smart, but working independently. The smart machine era will change all that. Over the next few years, the amazing advancement in computing power and networking will transform every industry on the planet. Individual smart devices will merge into fog-computing autonomous systems. All these applications must connect "functional" artificial intelligence to real-time networking. That drives new unique computing requirements. Most importantly, autonomous systems must work as decoupled applications but still intimately share information. This talk will examine the new “data-centric” fog architectures that balance these demands, thus accelerating autonomous designs. This talk will highlight early autonomy applications across several industries from energy microgrids to the retrofit architecture for the Grand Coulee Dam, the largest power plant on the continent, to healthcare to automotive.
